Italy - mobility

We had a great meeting in Italy students and teachers from Turkey, Poland and Romania met in Ragusa from 3rd November to 8th November 2019. This was the first meeting of the teachers' staff and students because we decided to have two meetings together .The main aim of the meeting was to know each other better and start a very friendly cooperation. We worked on the projects tasks divided responsabilites and decided the working agenda, we exchanged examples of good teaching practices in the field of education.On the first day the Italian team gave us a very happy and warm welcome, students presented their school, educational system and the students introduce themselves by an artistic moment they organized a sports show, one of the main project objective is to practice sport (mens sana in corpore sano). This was a very exciting moment that the partners appreciated a lot. The partners showed their towns, countries through videos and power points too.The students also showed the partners their laboratories in particular they created different ones :- Knowing the composition and function of different foods- Calculate the calories produced by the various principles- Proper and balanced nutrition to prevent deseases such as obesity, diabetes, pyschic malaise, etc.Creation of the pyramid of food, discovery of vitam C food in Religion and Art, European cuisine and Italian cuisine, food market, caloric needs in relation to physical and sport activity, proper nutrition in the sportsman - where also topics of debate in the days of the mobility.The students had workshops and used games interviews; after all the workshops evaluation was done by a Kahoot the link is in the eTwinning page project. It was a very funny way to evaluate the workshops and the objectivies of the meeting.The partners also met the mayor of the town Peppe Cassì and the prefect Mrs Filippa Cocuzza, this gave a very great emphasis to the project.During this meeting the Italian students guided the guests through the wonderful Ragusa Ibla and they became tour guides of the main Cultural Heritage Unesco Sites of their area to underline that only Ragusa has 18 monuments inscribed in the World Cultural Unesco Heritage in Sicily. They also visited Taormina and a food farm that showed them how to prepare cheese, dairy food. During this workshhop all the participants played old Italian street games appreciating a lot these moments. The Italian team tried to charmed the partners with great tasting of their culinary products and their spontaneous hospitality.
Our students and teachers participating in this activity improved their knowledge about healthy eating style and they tasted great and healthy menus. The participants gain skills and competences to calculate the good and bad substances contained in the food and to correctly choose what is healthy for theur body.Enriching students' and teachers' cultural and historical knowledge about the partners was another gain.Using English as communication tool helped the participants develop their language skills and created the opportunity to improve their English vocabulary and communication in a foreign language.
